Green Skies and Blue Pastures

Oh, I forgot to mention. My esteemed flight instructor (who, by the way, has not had the pleasure of flying with me since September 26th, 2003) has gotten a job with a regional airline.

Congrats!

Of course, this means I have to find a new instructor. Damn. Finding one you work well with is hard enough, let alone one that is fun to hang out with.

And a new year beings

Yes. I know. It’s almost February. Bite me.

With the new year we’ve gotten a nice turn of weather. Sure, it snows 4 inches in 4 hours on occasion, but all in all, we’ve been having very nice weather. Today, for example, is a blustery 50 degrees. Hmm, looks like some more snow is on the way.

So, I finally finished that bedroom on the main floor. It doesn’t look so bad, if I do say so myself. Live and learn, right? Next time, I’ll just hire someone or paint the whole damn room all one color.

Jeremy moved in, with the completion of the bedroom. It’s actually not as crowded, as I first feared it might be, with the extra room downstairs for him to use; not to mention his liberal “throw-crap-I-never-use-away” attitude. Having a renter will sure help a lot with the bills, I might even get to start flying again!

Speaking of flying, McAir had an opening for a 2004 Skyhawk SP to join the fleet. I wonder if that opening is still available.. anyone want to co-own an airplane?

Not a whole lot going on, really. Other than work, play, and a little self-advancement. Oh, and some movies.

I really should start working on Tazmania again, but I always get discouraged when I see games like Star Wars Galaxies and the other MMO’s. They have the talent (debatable), the money (leeched), and the time (it’s their job!) to make their games great. Or at least try. Not to mention the playerbase. Ahh well, maybe Tazmania will always be one of those on-off projects that never really goes anywhere. Or maybe I should set my sights on something, arguably, more modern? (Did I ever tell anyone about.com really sucks?)

So what’s new with you?
