Holy Cow

Author corey    Category News     Tags

I was looking at the my Webalizer logs and I noticed one of the search referrals to this site was when someone searched on “corey crawford -hockey -chicago -blackhawks”, so I figured I’d throw that into google and see what I came up with.

And holy cow, I found my old Geocities website! Talk about memories, circa 1997. I also found some posts to various mailing lists, like the CircleMUD mailing list. That particularly brought back some memories since I use to work on my MUD for hours and had a ton of people I knew online (players and immortals of Tazmania in particular). Interesting.

Even earlier today I was reminisce about the old days, back when I had a Netcom shell account and a 14400 baud modem as the gateway for all my internet related activities. TinTin++ was the bomb back then (the MUD client, not the graphical adventure).

Everyone has searched for themselves on google just to see what comes up, right? Surely I can’t be the only one?

Apparently there are way too many Corey Crawfords out there, looks like I might have to change my name again. Any suggestions? Wait, don’t answer that.

Live in the now, man.. you don’t search for yourself on google, you google yourself.

And yeah, everyone does it :)
